In the early 1990's a group of East European motorcycle enthusiasts decided to get together with a view to forming a local club. Originally comprising members of the Cossack Owners Club, the MZ Riders Club and the Jawa/CZ Owners Club, none of which had a large presence in Scotland at the time. This proved very successful with a variety of meetings and camping weekends organised for the benefit of all.

As the bulk of those attending such events were from the MZ Riders Club it was decided to start an official MZRC Section to cover Central and Southern Scotland. This in 1992 became the current South of Scotland Section, and since those early days it has grown steadily, until it is now one of the more active Sections with a current membership standing at around 50.

The Section offers several benefits and services to its members, not least of which is the monthly newsletter 'Thistledown', to which you are encouraged to subscribe (see the relevant page for more details). We hold monthly meetings throughout the year at a variety of locations, and each year sees us host the popular Scottish Rally.

Not interested in MZ's, but would like to see what the Section has to offer anyway? We now try and cater for owners of all makes and models of motorcycle, not just MZs so you are more than welcome to attend any of our regular monthly meetings, rallies and/or subscribe to the Section Newsletter regardless of what machine you own.

Should you be interested in finding out more about the Section you can contact me or the current Section Rep., or why not just come along and see for yourself.
